Certified Traveling
I wasn’t too ecstatic when I found out that I’d be going on a “field trip” to Scott AFB in Illinois to get certified for Security+. That was until I found out we’d be staying in St. Louis, MO, which was about 20 minutes away from the base. That one week course was information overload on network security, and I couldn’t help but to doze off multiple times throughout the day (I’m sure everyone did also). We spent most of the weeknights eating out and studying for the exam. Long story short, we all passed. Cause we’re BOSS like that, no biggie. The trip into town was great. It was a given that we make it to the top of the Gateway Arch and stop by the Galleria to pick up some apparel. The girls from Guam were nice enough to invite me out that night for dinner at The Landing. We finished up the night with an impromptu visit to a local karaoke bar where this old guy, crazy young-looking girl, and a couple were ripping the mic a new one. Glad the visit to the States wasn’t all business.
